Clear Your Head | The Cameri Theater

The Cameri Theater Urban Legend | A comedy by Ilan Hatzor | Directed by Mor Frank With local elections on the horizon, the powerful and long-serving mayor, Moshe Schwartzman, is concerned that no candidate dares to run against him. No opponent means no campaign, and no campaign means donors’ wallets stay closed. Besides, people might start calling him a dictator—and he considers democracy his guiding light. So what to do? To create the appearance of a fair election, they must find a token candidate—one “whom only his family will vote for, and even they’ll hesitate before doing so.” When the cleaning lady walks into the office and starts cleaning, it’s clear to everyone that the perfect candidate has been found. The cleaning lady’s name is Ilana. And she’s here to stay! A sharp and moving comedy about a determined woman who can’t stand a speck of dirt. Starring: Itzik Cohen, Irit Kaplan, Elad Atrakchi, Tam Gal, Dudu Niv, Osnat Ben Yehuda, Simcha Bar-Biro, Tal Weiss Running time: 1.5 hours
